Vritra: my Vampyre story is now a work-in-progress

VRITRA:

I have finally begun writing my vampyre novel! The character above is Alec Kalin, my protagonist and narrator for the series. I'll try to post my prologue on here, anything after that I'm afraid you'll have to wait until it's published.

Wish me luck!

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince: A movie you will never forget

Posted by Gothic Lust at 03:49 PM on July 15, 2009 Comments comments (0)

If you have not seen the latest installment to the Harry Potter series, then I suggest you get up off your computer chairs and hightail to the nearest movie theater.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was absolutely the best movie of the entire collection thus far. Daniel Radcliff, Tom Felton, Alan Rickman and the other cast members portray their parts with new life as they struggle with their deepest desires and the fear of what is to come.

Tom Felton’s character Draco Malfoy was breathtaking to watch. Felton’s portrayal of a scared and stressed teenage boy whom is forced head first into the war between light and dark is spectacularly captured.

I felt myself overcome with a new sense of understanding about Draco’s character and his own wishes that clash with the rather dark and strict upbringing of his noble pure blood. I find that I cannot help but want for the boy to succeed and yet at the same time, I wish all too much that his attempts will not flourish.

As an avid reader of the Harry Potter fandom and having read the sixth book far too many times, I am glad to say that this movie is by far my favorite in the representation of the book.

At times I felt the need to cry or place a hand over my heart to stop the wild beatings of anxiety and fright or even pinch myself to remember to breath. I don’t ever remember finishing off my drink, it’s a rather good thing I decided to hold the cup in my hands otherwise I might have forgotten it in the fantastically woven tale of the sixth movie.

I can now only hold my breath and wait rather impatiently for the next two movies to come, I fear that November of 2010 is much too far away.

The Worst Weekend EVER!

Posted by Gothic Lust at 12:03 AM on May 25, 2009 Comments comments (0)

As of Thursday, May 21st, I have been battling the worst double ear infection of my life.

If you've never had an ear infection well, the pain is immensly indescribable. My right ear canal is so swollen that it's nearly shut and the drops can't go through. My left ear has now, somehow, gotten the same infection, so I'm going through double the pain.

As for the actual pain itself, lets just say, that on a scale of Zero (0) to Ten (10), Zero being no pain and Ten being the worst pain in my life, i.e., Excruciating, the pain I get is at least 7 and at worst, a 9.

And crying just makes it worse (and I never cry...ever!).

So, the reason why I am posting this, not just because the lovely doctors have given me a worderful bottle of Vicadin for the pain, but because I need my reviewers to read the following:

Reviewers,

I am so sorry. I know I promised an update for Love's True Light and Samurai Spirit on May 22nd, but I've come down with a horrible (and I mean that as an 8-9 on the pain scale) double ear infection. The only reason I'm able to write this now is because those lovely doctors have given me a nice supply of Vicadin for the pain (I now know why Doctor House is addicted to the stuff). I'll be gone for maybe a week (which sucks because I have an exam on wednesday!) but for sure, next week, I'll be updating.

Thank you so much for understanding.

(Still praying for this thing to be done with soon...I had to take a shot in the ass for this, the least the infection can do is go away quickly!)

* Please don't mind any spelling or grammar errors. I am litterally on a shit load of painkillers, and my mind is so foggy it's hard to type (kinda like the cotton stuffed in both my ears).

New Fanfiction Updates: Only a billion more chapters to go...

Posted by Gothic Lust at 05:53 PM on May 19, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Endlessly Imperfect: The second chapter "Change," has now been posted. big grin

By this friday, May 22nd, I should have the next chapters for:

When the next massive round of updates will be has not been decided, mostly because I'm still taking classes, but I will try my best to write as much as I can.

I, however, can give an estimate ball park from between the end of June to mid-July for the next updates, but don't rely on that too much, most-likely, I will not be posting by then. LLDMS might be easier for me to write than the others, so that one should be updated more frequently.

I hope that you will enjoy the chapters I have posted. If there are any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Please note that the artwork below, at least the girl, does not belong to me. She has been on my computer for some time, and I can't remember who she belongs to. Once I do however find out who, I will link the artist on here. For now, I do not own, nor did I draw her, I just created the logo. Enjoy.

Oh the possibilities....

A Webstore?

I know that I just started this site, but I was wondering, if I should start up my own store here?

I have so many little knick-nacks that I can sell, that maybe some of you who are reading this, may want. For starters, I have some manga I don't mind selling, and I have a ton of InuYasha plushies to get rid of (only of InuYasha sadly, I bought them in bulk and they didn't sell very well in my high school). I might even consider selling some of my artwork. I have several paintings that I'm no longer fond of, and I wouldn't mind selling those either.

I'm in college, so I need all the money that I can get, the books are a bit on the pricey side.

So my question is, if I open up shop, would anyone buy?
